The Chaplin Public Library, located just off Route 198 and adjacent to the Chaplin Senior Center, was dedicated on January 15, 2000. The original William Ross Public Library was built in 1911; the library now is in a renovated elementary school which was originally constructed in the 1940s. It is spacious, well-equipped, and accessible.
We offer a variety of materials including books, periodicals, audio books, CDs, videos and DVDs available for loan. We also have museum passes for the Wadsworth Athenaeum, Mystic Aquarium, Roger Williams Park Zoo and the Maritime Aquarium. There are computers available with high-speed internet access for patron use.
