Historic District Commission

The Chaplin Historic District was created in 1974 to preserve the unique qualities of its fine architecture and its cultural and historic roots. We hope the information provided on our website will clarify some of the procedures that must be followed by Historic District property owners in accord with our Town Ordinance and Connecticut State statutes. If you have questions about Historic District procedures or about projects you are considering, please do not hesitate to contact the chair or any other member of the Historic District Commission.
