Planning and Zoning Commission

The Planning & Zoning Commission meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7pm in the Chaplin Town Hall.  Below are the 2018 Regular meeting dates:

1/11/18; 2/8/18; 3/8/18; 4/12/18; 5/10/18; 6/14/18; 7/12/18; 8/9/18; 9/13/18; 10/11/18; 11/8/18; 12/13/18

The Planning & Zoning Commission is responsible for planning the growth and development of Chaplin by regulating and defining the boundaries of the various zoning districts. The Planning & Zoning Commission considers the existing and future movement of traffic & the segregation of business & residential districts while making such regulations. The Planning & Zoning Commission requires four members for a quorum, in addition there can only be a maximum of five regular members from any one party.

The Planning and Zoning Enforcement Officer, Jay Gigliotti, is at the Town Hall every Tuesday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.  To contact him please call 860-455-0073 extension 320 or email at zoningofficer@chaplinct.org.

Proposed Regulation Revisions- #RC18-094-Town of Chaplin Planning and Zoning Commission, Applicant, proposed revisions to the following sections of the Chaplin Zoning Regulations and the Chaplin Subdivision Regulations:

-Subdivision Regulations Article IV. Open Space Subdivisions
-All sections of the Zoning Regulations relating to Agriculture
-Section 5.3- New Sub-Section- Business District Accessory Apartments
-Section 8.7- Earth Excavation
-Section 8.8- Open Space Subdivisions

 Proposed revisions of all sections are available for review in the Town of Chaplin Town Hall, 495 Phoenixville Road.
