Board of Selectmen

The Chaplin Board of Selectmen meet the first Thursday of every month at 7:00pm in the Chaplin Town Hall.  The 2018 Regular meeting dates are:

1/4/18; 2/1/18; 3/1/18; 4/5/18; 5/3/18; 6/7/18; 7/5/18; 8/2/18; 9/6/18; 10/4/18; 11/1/18; 12/6/18.

The Chaplin Board of Selectmen play a very important role in past, present and future of the town of Chaplin. They contribute heavily to Chaplin's thriving & growth community.  The Chaplin's Board of Selectmen duties include calling town meetings, announcing elections, designation of appointing employees, setting certain fees, overseeing certain volunteer and appointed bodies, and creating basic town regulations.

The Selectman's Office is also open to all residents to discuss any issues concerning town government.  You may contact First Selectman, Matthew Cunningham at (860) 455-0073 extension 310.

INVITATION TO BID MOWING CONTRACT FOR TOWN CEMETERIES

The Town of Chaplin is seeking sealed bids for mowing of town cemeteries located at various locations in Chaplin, CT.  Bid specifications may be obtained at the Chaplin Town Hall, 495 Phoenixville Road, Chaplin CT during normal business hours or

Sealed bids will be accepted at the Town Hall until 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 3, 2018.  All bids will be publicly opened on May 3, 2018 at 3:00pm in the Town Hall and recorded for review at the Regular Meeting of the Board of Selectmen on May 3, 2018 at 7:00pm.  The Town of Chaplin reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part if it is deemed by the Town to be in its best interest. 

The contracts for the mowing services will commence July 1, 2018 and end June 30, 2019.

Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Quality Enhancement Program 07/01/2018

The Town of Chaplin is making available a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Quality Enhancement Program for the period July 1, 2018 – June 30, 2019.  The purpose of the Quality Enhancement Grant Program is to provide funding for School Readiness programs that focus on education and early care that addresses the School Readiness Quality Components and /or expands comprehensive services for children and families.

Chaplin is specifically seeking qualified individuals or agencies that can deliver training and technical assistance related, but not limited to, topics such as creating a supportive trauma informed culture to support children and families, and building resiliency for children.  Services provided for coaching and professional development may be dispersed over various consultants and is pending grant funds.

Programs interested in participating in the open-bid process for the School Readiness Quality Enhancement Program Local Request for Proposal (RFP), should contact Angela Fournier for a copy of the Request for Proposal (RFP) and Guidelines. 

Local Request for Proposals for School Readiness Quality Enhancement must be submitted electronically to Angela Fournier at angelafouriner1@hotmail.com.  Additionally, original, hard-copy signature pages mailed or hand delivered by April 23, 2018.

The Town of Chaplin will be offering used equipment for sale under a closed bid format.  Items can be viewed at the Department of Public Works, 456 Phoenixville Road, Chaplin on 4/10/18 from 8am-10am and 3pm-6pm.  Bids close at 3:00pm, on 4/11/18.  Bids will be opened at the Board of Selectmen meeting on 4/11/18 at 3:30pm.  You may pick up the bid forms and list of items at the Chaplin Town Hall during business hours, or email:  assistant@chaplinct.org.
