Lots of things have been happening in the Town of Chaplin this spring and summer and I wanted to take a few minutes to let you know what has been going on but first I would like to start with a reminder that the first day of school was Aug 27^th so please be aware that school buses will be making stops and watch for students that will be waiting for those buses. Please slow down and obey all traffic signs and warnings.

While I am on the subject of schools one of our goals of our schools staff and administrators this year is to ensure that every student attends school regularly. To kick off the school year we are celebrating September as Attendance Awareness Month: Every Child Every Day. Showing up for school has a huge impact on a student’s academic success from the first day of kindergarten through the last day of high school. Even as children grow older and more independent, families play a key role in making sure students get to school safely every day and understand why attendance is important for success in school and in life. We want all of our children to be successful in school!
