The North Bear Hill Bridge project is moving along slowly but it is still moving. The final engineering design for the entire project is nearly completed, once it hits the 90% design stage then the watercourse and environmental permitting stage will commence. The bidding to select the contractor for the actual construction of the bridge should happen in late 2015 so it is not likely that they would break ground until the spring of 2016. The estimated time for the start to completion of the bridge is estimated to be one construction season or about 10 months. Once the road is closed for the construction of the bridge then the drainage and repair work for North Bear Hill Road above the bridge to Middle Road will happen simultaneously.
