Month of the Young Adolescent

The “Month of the Young Adolescent” celebration will be held October 24 at 11:40 a.m. in the Parish Hill Middle/High School Cafeteria. Parish Hill, along with many middle schools throughout the United States, will celebrate this event to draw attention to the unique needs of students 10 to 15 years old and the ways we can support these youngsters.  This includes recognizing parents’active involvement in their children’s lives, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, and valuing the importance of education.

Seventh grade students will be attending a lesson on the Seven Habits of A Successful Adolescent and will then write reflection letters in English class which will focus on “who they are as an adolescent”.  In addition, they will be asked to invite a “significant adult in their life” to lunch.
