The Planning & Zoning Commission is responsible for planning the growth and development of Chaplin by regulating and defining the boundaries of the various zoning districts. The Planning & Zoning Commission considers the existing and future movement of traffic & the segregation of business & residential districts while making such regulations. The Planning & Zoning Commission requires four members for a quorum. In addition, in order to adhere to minority representation regulations, a maximum of five regular members from any one party is permissible.
