ATTENTION CHAPLIN DOG OWNERS: JUNE IS LICENSING MONTH!
Pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes §22-338, all dogs six months or older must be licensed.
Fees are as follows: $8.00 for a neutered or spayed dog, and $19.00 for an unaltered dog. Cash or check.
Valid rabies certificate required. New dog registrations require proof from your vet if your dog has been spayed/neutered.
All current dog licenses expire on June 30, 2026. There is a $1.00 per month late fee after July 1st.

The Chaplin Board of Selectmen meet the first Thursday of every month at 7:00pm in the Chaplin Town Hall unless otherwise stated.
The 2026 Regular meeting dates are: 1/7/2026 (due to New Year Holiday); 02/05/2026; 03/05/2026; 04/02/2026; 05/07/2026; 06/04/2026; 07/02/2026; 08/06/2026; 09/03/2026; 10/01/2026; 11/05/2026; 12/03/2026.
The Chaplin Board of Selectmen play a very important role in the past, present and future of the Town of Chaplin. They contribute heavily to Chaplin's thriving & growing community. The Chaplin Board of Selectmen's duties include calling town meetings, announcing elections, designation of appointed employees, setting certain fees, overseeing certain volunteer and appointed bodies and creating basic town regulations.
