Motor Vehicle tax bills will not be mailed or due on 7/1/17.  The State of Connecticut has not decided on the State-wide motor vehicle mill rate for this fiscal year.  Once the State finalizes the budget, residents will be notified when bills will be sent out.  Currently the earliest date may be 9/1/17.

Applications are available at the Town Hall during the hours of Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00am - 3:00pm and Tuesdays from 1:00pm - 7:00pm (closed on Friday) or print online.

RECREATION COMMISSION: DIRECTOR OF RECREATION Part-time position - The Town of Chaplin seeks a qualified person to be our Director of Recreation.  This position is for a non-benefited, part-time employee working under the jurisdiction of the Board of Selectman and supervision of the Recreation Commission, performing administrative, supervisory and professional work in the planning, development and operation of a comprehensive public sports and recreation program for the community.  An annual average of five hours of work per week will be required in return for annual compensation of approximately $3,000.00.

TOWN OF CHAPLIN - RECORDING CLERK Part-Time Position:  The Town of Chaplin is in search of a qualified recording clerk for various Boards and Commission for the Town.  This is a part-time, non-benefited position under the direction of the First Selectman. This position is a minimum of 4 hours a month to record meeting minutes during the evening hours.   Salary for the recording clerk is $16.03 per hour.
